ANTHONY DJAVAN HARRIS is an Emmy award winning producer/director and freelance writer born and raised in historic Harlem, NYC. With a simple creed of telling stories that empower and inspire people he has sought to do that in every project he has worked on. From revealing and uplifting television documentaries, features and promos to insightful articles and exposes many of his works have been critically acclaimed. The 2007 documentary on the New York Knicks Poetry Slam won a New York Emmy for outstanding teen program and the 2002 documentary on former tennis player Vitas Gerulaitis won a New York sports Emmy for outstanding program or series, and five other television productions that he produced and/or directed have been nominated:
